Chris Brown and Frank Ocean brawl over.....a parking space?!!

LOS ANGELES—Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives say they want to speak with Chris Brown about a fight he reportedly got into with Frank Ocean over a parking space at a West Hollywood recording studio.

Brown allegedly punched Ocean in the brawl Sunday night in the 7200 block of Santa Monica Blvd., officials said.

Brown is on probation for assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles the night before the Grammys in February 2009. He also reportedly got into a confrontation with singer Drake last summer at a New York nightclub.

In the Sunday night incident, officials said deputies responded to a call of six men fighting at the recording studio. Witnesses told them Brown and Ocean were involved in a fight over a parking spot.

Sources connected with Chris insist Ocean started it, (of course), and state that Chris was at Westlake Studio in the L.A. area listening to one of the artists he represents.

The sources say as Chris went to leave, Frank Ocean and his crew blocked Chris from leaving. The sources say Frank said, "This is my studio, this is my parking spot."
Chris went to shake Frank's hand ... and that's when one of Frank's people attacked Chris.

Sources connected with Chris say one of Chris' friends jumped in front and hit Frank's friend. Sources connected with Chris say Frank then came at Chris ... Chris pushed him away and they started brawling.

After the brief fight, the parties were separated, officials said, and Brown and his entourage left before deputies arrived.

Ocean later tweeted that he “got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there.”  Everest, by the way, is the name of Ocean's dog, not bodyguard.

For his part, Brown has been silent on the social media site about the situation, although, he did take to Instagram and post a photo of himself and some friends in the mentioned studio. It appears the photo was taken before the fight ... but uploaded to CB's Instagram account AFTER the skirmish.

“Of course, we are going to investigate,” sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Monday. “It is our understanding it does not rise to the level of an alleged assault. As a matter of fact, it could be a minor scuffle over a parking spot.

“Chris Brown is a named suspect in a battery report,” he continued. “The victim is desirous of prosecution.”

It seems as though Frank Ocean is being called the "victim" at the moment, because he was the only one who hung around after the incident to give a statement to police.

Frank Ocean was nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist, Album of the Year and Record of the Year, while Brown was nominated for one. At this year’s ceremony, Brown may be performing a duet with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, with whom he has an extremely troubled Grammys history. Let's see how this years Grammy Awards will play out for him.
