Hip-Hop artist Freddy E apparent suicide after reported break-up with girlfriend Honey Cocaine

This weekend Twitter and the Hip-Hop community were buzzing after Seattle artist and online personality Freddy E, 22, died on Saturday, January 5th, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to reports, Freddy E, whose real name is Frederick Eugene Buhl, committed suicide after breaking up with female rapper Honey Cocaine, who is signed to Tyga's Last Kings record label. It is unclear if Freddy E was also affiliated with Last Kings.

The King County Medical Examiner's office in Washington confirmed with the Seattle Times that Buhl died in an apparent suicide, though the exact cause is disputed. Many accuse rapper Honey Cocaine, a Toronto spitter signed to Tyga, for causing the heartbreak which led Buhl to suicide.

Before his death, Freddy E began to vent on Twitter.  Apparently Freddy's distraught tweets began shortly after Honey Cocaine tweeted at 12:45pm "Trust who? None of you thirstballs are diffrent.", then Freddy posted a tweet at 12:47pm stating  "Annnd, my day is ruined," and "Ain't nobody thirsty...-_-" followed by "Fuck... my... life".
Then he wrote on the site, giving way to a series of other tragic messages...
"If there's a God then He's calling me back home. This barrel never felt so good next to my dome. It's cold & I'd rather die than live alone," he then tweeted. "It's... all... bad... y'all. *puts finger around trigger*" "I love you Mom" "I love you Dad" "I love you Katherie" "God...please forgive me" and his final tweet at 2:34pm "I'm sorry."

On Sunday Honey Cocaine, whose real name is Sochitla Sal, tweeted in response to backlash alleging she was responsible.  She hopped on Twitter to set the record straight stating..."To say I caused what happened is ignorance.. You know nothing about our friendship or the story, hate me if you feel.. We loved eachother.. We were homies. We had a bond and a connection. For people to attack me acting like I made him do it is a shame," she wrote on Sunday. "I said some foolish things cause I thought he was joking, he does shit like that to me all the time. This is crazy.."

The distraught rapper also tweeted out a screen shot of a text message she says took place between her and Freddy from Saturday morning. In the excerpt Freddy, said that he felt like everyone was out to get him and asked Honey if that was true. She responded: "Anything revolving around money is intertwined with evil."

On January 1, Freddy appeared in a 20-minute Honey Cocaine appreciation video where he expressed his love and appreciation for her. After tweeting a link to that very video, Honey Cocaine wrote: "I love you too @Freddy_E.. The end of the video is beautiful."

Though he wasn't a household name, Freddy was most widely known for his comedy and spoken-word pieces, which he published on his JERKTV YouTube channel,
which boasts over 7 million video views, and thousands of subscribers.

Freddy E's family posted a statement on Facebook stating "Today, our son, Frederick Eugene Buhl (@freddy_E), age 22 years old, took his own life with a rifle shot to the head," it reads. "Our family is saddened beyond words; our loss is great; this tragedy is enormous and unforeseen."

The statement also gave details about a funeral, which took place on Friday at the First AME Church in Seattle.

Regardless of the reason why this young man chose to end his life....Suicide is NEVER the answer to any problem you may be facing!  Godbless his family, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Rest In Peace Frederick Eugene Buhl.
